iPhone 15 Specs And Features
The iPhone 15 has a 48MP primary camera with a 26mm focal length, a 2-micron quad-pixel sensor, and 100% focus pixels. Apple debuted the new camera system for the iPhone 15 at its launch last fall. The night mode on the iPhone 15 has also been improved.
The Bionic A16 chip that powered the iPhone 14 Pro has been integrated into the iPhone 15, which consumes less power than the A15 Bionic chipset. The iPhone 15 features colour-infused back glass and a new contoured edge. The Dynamic Island has also been added to the non-Pro iPhone models. The model was unveiled in three configurations: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, priced at Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, has issued a cautious forecast for Apple iPhone shipments in 2024. Apple has reduced orders for semiconductor components from suppliers by up to 15%. TFI Securities analyst recently predicted a 10%-15% decline in shipments for the iPhone 15 and upcoming iPhone 16 series compared to 2023 figures.
iPhone 15 vs. iPhone 14
The iPhone 15 includes numerous upgrades over the iPhone 14, making it a larger leap than the iPhone 13 to iPhone 14.
A new USB-C charging port replaces Apple’s Lightning connector, the main camera sensor has significantly higher resolution, and the Dynamic Island replaces the notch. You’ll also get an upgrade to the same A16 Bionic processor found in the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 15 features an eye-catching new matte finish design. The display is also brighter than last year’s iPhone 14.

However, because the iPhone 14 is only a year old, I would recommend waiting before upgrading. While a universal USB-C charging port and the Dynamic Island certainly improve the iPhone’s convenience, they are insufficient to persuade the majority of users to upgrade.
The new 48-megapixel camera is an improvement over the 12-megapixel system on the iPhone 14, but the difference will be more noticeable coming from a phone that is more than two years old. If you prefer to view and share photos on your phone rather than print or display them on a larger screen, the previous-generation 12-megapixel camera will suffice.

The iPhone 15’s most notable changes are the Dynamic Island, USB-C port, and improved camera. However, the majority of people are unlikely to think these features are worth the $799 price tag. Carrier discounts can significantly reduce costs, but they are often only available under certain conditions, such as adding a new line.
